About Jim Woodward-Nutt

Jim Woodward-Nutt portrait

Jim is a retired broadcasting engineer, now living in Hellifield, North Yorkshire.

His four grown-up children, and two grandchildren, are scattered throughout Scotland and England.

He has run both Shipley Windmill, and Outwood Windmill in Surrey,  milling wheat to produce flour for sale to visitors. From 2008 -2010 he was Chairman of the Mills Section of the Society for the Protection of Ancient Buildings.
Currently Treasurer of the NW Mills Group.
He frequently lectures on wind and watermills, among other subjects.

Jim also dabbles in computers, including production of booklets, magazines and pamphlets with desktop publishing programs.

Jim served as a member of the Council of 'Which?', the consumer organisation, from 1993 to 2008.   He has also served as a consumer representative on a number of other committees, including Gatwick Airport Consultative Committee.
